6 Warm-Up Outfit Options

To Begin Comfy, Yet Sexy

LET’S BE REAL

…boudoir photoshoots can be as exciting as they are intimidating, especially for the first time. As professional as the whole process is, showing our body in front of the camera can still be scary and nerve wracking!

To help you decide on what to bring for your boudoir session AND to begin in an outfit with a little more coverage here are SIX warm-up outfit options to consider.

FLORAL KIMONO ROBE
A pretty floral kimono robe with a subtle pattern is a beautiful feminine choice. You can pair it with your favorite lace set or go au naturale underneath. You can also use any robe you may already have at home: a lacy white robe, a satin black robe, or a comfy bathrobe. This is a wonderful way to get in a quick ‘second look’ without changing. You begin more covered and as nerves settle, you remove the robe to what is underneath.

COMFY SWEATER
I absolutely love this boudoir outfit idea. Choose a simple lace panty with or without the bra and add an oversized knit sweater (that can drop off one or both shoulders) or cardigan over top for a draped, cozy look that is soft, feminine, and super sexy. A great transition from more covered to going topless in just panties.

WHITE ‘BOYFRIEND’ TEE
A boudoir shoot definitely does not have to be fancy. Often the most casual, natural photos are the sexiest. Like a robe, kimono, or oversized sweater, this is a curated just-rolled-out-of-bed look that goes perfectly with tousled hair, natural makeup, and dewy skin. Favorite t-shirts, oversized Jerseys, tanks, and crop tops are all wonderful options.

WHITE BUTTON-UP SHIRT
Another version of the white top, but with a more ‘risky business’ vibe is a classic oversized white button up shirt over the top of dainty lace lingerie, bra/panty set, or topless. This look is super sexy and gives you the ability to cover or show more depending on your comfort level, mood, and vibe you’re going for.

SILK SLIP DRESS
There’s something so sophisticated about a silk or satin slip dress with thin dainty straps. It is classy, minimal, and perfectly sultry. Not to mention you can pop on a pair of heels and a leather jacket to head out for a fancy dinner post-shoot.

PAIR OF JEANS…and nothing else
Throw on your favorite pair of denim with or without a bra and you’re set. There’s something unexpected, yet super attractive about this simple outfit idea. It’s casual, but playful and perfect for a laid back boudoir shoot. It is a great option if you want those classic Calvin Klein photos!

There are no rules when it comes to boudoir - it is a personal experience. Wear what makes you comfortable, what makes you feel sexy. The better you feel, the easier it is to relax and enjoy your experience. It’s not only about what you wear, but also the way you carry yourself.
